Would you like to lead architectural strategies across diverse teams, ensuring scalability and innovation for our rapidly growing platforms. Then you might be the System Architect we are looking for!
Shape the future of our enterprise solutions for the automotive IT Solutions
We are a global company specializing in online car auctions and IT solutions for the automotive industry. Our roadmap is full of tasks, and our existing solutions need to be future proofed for a rapidly increasing number of customers. We are seeking a System Architect to oversee our Architectural Strategy and Vision.
About us
Our software developers are divided into three product lines:
- Autorola Solutions: Develops software in the form of flow management products for large fleet owners, including leasing companies, banks, and rental companies. The products are characterized by handling configurable workflows and automated processes across partners and for many simultaneous users.
- INDICATA: Collects and interprets BIG DATA for optimizing the inventory of used cars and valuing cars. The products are characterized by handling enormous amounts of data.
- Autorola Marketplace: Provides a global auction platform for used cars. Marketplace is characterized by running a large portfolio of apps, focusing on performance and high availability.
Your Role
As a vital member of our Solutions- and Marketplace Development teams, you will play a key role in supporting both units with your expertise in architecture. While your position will be housed within Autorola Solutions, your work will span across both teams, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach to architecture.
Our technology ecosystem is diverse, encompassing frameworks like Java, Spring, Angular, and React, cloud services in AWS, and numerous interconnected applications. As our System Architect, you won’t need to be a technical expert in every technology or intimately familiar with all applications. Instead, you’ll collaborate closely with development teams, who have the autonomy to design and execute application architecture.
Your focus will be on the following key responsibilities:
Architectural Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate a clear architectural vision aligned with organizational goals, while developing and maintaining high-level guidelines, principles, and roadmaps to guide development efforts.
Early-Phase Problem Analysis: Engage in projects from the concept phase to clarify objectives, identify constraints, outline architectural solutions, and establish a foundational project strategy aligned with the overall system architecture before involving development teams.
Collaborative Decision Support: Support and guide developers in architectural and solution design decisions to ensure alignment with the overarching architecture, while mediating to resolve disagreements or uncertainties within and across teams.
Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain high-level architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and design decisions, while establishing a collaborative process that enables developers to contribute and refine architectural artifacts.
Governance and Alignment: Ensure architectural compliance with defined principles, guidelines, and standards, while monitoring and guiding the implementation of solutions to maintain alignment with the overall vision.
Your profile
We imagine you have more than 10 years of work experience where 5 years comes from hands-on development – preferably Java, Spring, and AWS. Additionally, we expect you to have:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, such as System Architect, Technical Lead, or Software Engineer with architectural responsibilities
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Experience with system architecture and an "advisory" role
- Project management skills: Keeping overview and breaking down larger initiatives into minor milestones
- Good at managing your own time and working independently
- Curiosity and a commitment to staying professionally updated, along with a willingness to share your knowledge.
- Proficiency in both English and Danish, in both written and spoken forms.
- Decision-making skills, coupled with a collaborative spirit and a desire to be an active team member.
- Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, tailored to the audience.
