A position as Professor in Medical Microbiology (75% time) and as a molecular biologist (25% time) is vacant as soon as possible at the Research Unit of Clinical MicrobiologyDepartment of Clinical ResearchUniversity of Southern Denmark and at the Department of Clinical MicrobiologyOdense University Hospital, respectively.

The posts are considered as one entity.

The position is for 5 years with the possibility of extension.

Salary and terms of employment

The successful applicant for the professor position will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

  • a teaching portfolio detailing the candidate’s prior teaching experience, teaching skills, and teaching philosophy
  • a research plan detailing the candidate’s ideas and plans for her/his future research work.
