About the job
We are expanding our team and are recruiting an experienced product specialist for our site in Odense, who has a great desire to use acquired professional competencies to strengthen our software development team within R&D.

Our ambition is to make machine control simple for any kind of earthmoving machine operators. Your main task is to be the interface between customers/distributors needs and software developers at Unicontrol. You are able to gather the different needs, requests and challenges and structure it into feature design, roadmap products or support documentation.

You will be a part of Unicontrols 3D team who consists of software developers and one other product specialist, and you will work in an agile setup with and scrum inspired work environment. The product specialists will have product owner tasks from specification to test and handover information to the marked.

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Supporting the development of new products with a focus on useability and customer experience
  • Create user stories and documentation of features
  • Maintain team backlog as a Product Owner
  • Building and maintaining customer/distributor relationships to understand customer needs and workflow
  • Conducting market research and industry trends as input
  • Support distributers with customer issues
  • A part of a development team and refer to R&D Manager

Your profile
You are an experienced Product Specialist with a passion for new technology and a drive to solve marked challenges. You know how to work in a team to make the team get success. Ideally, you already have several years of experience with machine control, earthmoving machines, construction industry, surveying or hydraulic autonomy, but not a requirement.

As you will have a key role in the company, we expect you to be a person who exercises a strong commitment to the company and have shown this in previous jobs. You are probably an open-minded person who easily can discuss technical topics with both customers and developers. The products and solutions you have brought to market have been successful and acknowledged globally.

You have the drive to learn quickly and can push the things forward by yourself. You will be faced with a large variety of development tasks and engage with the customers. Visits to construction sites with huge contracting machines will be a part of the job, and make you get a first-hand impression of the context we are working in.

Your mission in previous jobs has not been to endlessly develop or over-engineer solutions, but rather using just the necessary energy and resources to achieve the required performance. In doing so, you exercise strong interpersonal skills and communicate clearly and to the point– while having fun at the same time.

Key points on your profile:

  • Educational background can be engineering degree, surveyor or similar
  • Product owner experience
  • Knowledge about machine control, GNSS or autonomous machines is a plus
  • Experience with marked research is a plus
  • Proficient in English
