Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Robotics Software Manager to lead our young, highly skilled, and innovative team of 8 Robot Engineers developing the generic robot control software and GUI for our advanced robotic solutions. You will be part of an international environment where engagement and creativity are key drivers. Reporting to our CTO and be part of the software department, which currently consists of 14 dedicated employees.

You will have a broad range of internal collaboration, including with Project Managers, other software teams and departments such as Sales and Service, as well as with external partners. Occasional travel, ranging from 10-20 days per year, should be expected.

The expected start date for this position is January 1, 2025.

As the Software Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Software Resources: Oversee and allocate software resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Leading the Robot Teams: Lead the Robot C++ and Fanuc team, which consists of 8 employees, focusing on specifying and developing control systems and software for our robotic solutions.
  • Planning Roadmaps: Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for software development and project execution.
  • Collaboration with Lincoln Electric: Work closely with Lincoln Electric's global teams to leverage shared expertise, resources, and best practices in software development and automation solutions.
  • Communication: Liaise with project managers, sales, and other internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and support.

Professional Profile (Preferred Skills):

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Programming, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with robotics and automation.
  • Extensive experience in software development at a high level, particularly in C++.
  • Experience in a managerial role.

  • Excellent at maintaining an overview and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communicator who is inspiring and skilled at motivating others.
  • Structured and systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Solution-oriented with a good sense of humor.
