Do you want to lead, guide, and inspire a team of developers and reduce friction for Umbraco customers as well as colleagues?

The role

We are looking for a Technical Team Lead or a Senior Software Developer who wishes to combine technical tasks with people management.

You will be the Team Lead for the Umbraco Cloud Core Team consisting of 3 bright and friendly team members. As team lead it is expected that you take the leading role in leading, guiding, and inspiring the team members and ensure that their jobs have purpose, development, and most importantly; fun.

You will work closely together with the Head of Cloud to ensure a healthy balance between product development and maintaining the technology, code & infrastructure.

You will play a key role in managing the transformation of our technology while building a high degree of data management and data quality.

Purpose of the Umbraco Cloud Core Team

The Umbraco Cloud Core Team is created specifically for one purpose:

• To ensure that the developer experience of Umbraco Cloud is of the highest quality

The projects

Apart from being a Team Lead for the fantastic people in the team, you will be part of the following:

• Building and improving our deployment engines in Umbraco Cloud
• Developing and maintaining our microservices, Umbraco integrations and API implementations
• Optimize and scale the public APIs we provide as part of Umbraco Cloud
• Setting up testing strategies, automation, and monitoring of our backend services
• Harden our use of Azure

The technology

• We code in .NET & C#
• We put our data in CosmosDB & SQL
• We communicate using Azure Service Bus
• We are API first driven
• We utilize Azure for our Cloud needs
• We write automated tests for our systems using various technologies, including Playwright
• We build and release using Azure Devops CI/CD pipelines with automated tests

Your primary responsibilities

• Be a Team Lead in the wider Cloud Group, referring to the Head of Cloud
• Manage, guide and inspire the team
• Write and review code as an active individual contributor
• Write, estimate and ensure execution of tasks
• Break down prioritized feature requests and product improvement to technical tasks to be performed by you and your team
• Ensure good collaboration across cloud teams and products

• Solution and hands-on oriented personality
• Project Management experience - preferably from a scrum/agile environment (planning, estimating, etc.)
• Senior-level experience with backend development
• Experience in communicating with developers
• Experience with developing solutions with Umbraco CMS

Plus points for

• Previous knowledge of Umbraco and .NET
• Experience working with Umbraco Cloud
