Student assistant for Software-Driven Machines Lab at SDU Centre for Industrial Software
The SDU Centre for Industrial Software, the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Institute at the Faculty of Engineering in Sønderborg seeks a student assistant. We are looking for a candidate to support our activities in the Software-Driven Machines Lab.
Responsibilities:
Help with technical tasks in the lab, with guidance. Relevant example tasks here are:
preparation of hardware setups based on microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, etc. for teaching and research projects,
programming and software tasks, e.g. creating sample projects, building software, flashing hardware, managing version control systems.
Help with day-to-day administration of the lab. Relevant example tasks here are:
marking and registration of equipment,
ad hoc and incidental tasks such as tidying up and arranging the storage.
About you:
You have prior knowledge of programming in C++
You have a strong interest in embedded systems
You study in a relevant technical field, e.g. Software Engineering
You should be able to ask for help when you need it
You are expected to have adequate communication skills in English speaking and writing
You can work independently and as part of a team
We expect you to have a curious learning mentality
You have a strong sense of responsibility
You must be enrolled as a student at SDU
The starting date is 1. April 2026 or after agreement. The positions are for one year with the possibility for extension. We expect approx. 10-12 hours per week. We understand the importance of the balance between job and your studies and are flexible around your working days.

Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and PROSA.
