Description & Expectation

Quadsat is looking for a skilled Software Developer to join the Software team working on SpectraLoc, our defense product for detection, analysis, and geolocation of RF emitters.

SpectraLoc combines RF sensing payloads, drone-based operations, mission control software, signal processing, geolocation algorithms, and operator-facing workflows into one integrated product. The software you will work on is a central part of this system: it runs on the ground, controls and monitors missions, interfaces with the payload, supports analysis of collected RF data, and enables operators to turn complex RF information into actionable insight in real-world environments.

This is not a role limited to implementing isolated features. We are looking for someone who can understand the software platform as a whole, take ownership of core parts of the codebase, and help turn advanced technology into a robust operational product.

You will work closely with colleagues across software, RF, and robotics. You will contribute to technical architecture decisions, take ownership of implementation and delivery, and help shape how new capabilities are realized within SpectraLoc with high quality, maintainability, and scalability in mind.

This is an opportunity to work on software that matters beyond the codebase - software that supports real deployments, real operators, and real operational challenges.

Responsibilities:

Your main responsibility will be to develop, maintain, and mature the ground software and payload integration software used in SpectraLoc. This includes:

  • Developing robust, maintainable, and operationally reliable software for SpectraLoc’s ground-based control and analysis platform.
  • Implementing and improving the software interface towards the RF payload, including command, control, monitoring, data handling, and status reporting.
  • Building mission control functionality, operator workflows, and analysis features that support detection, analysis, and geolocation of RF emitters.
  • Taking ownership of key software features from specification and implementation through testing, release, and long-term maintenance.
  • Contributing to the technical and product architecture of SpectraLoc, including code structure, system interfaces, APIs, data flows, and how software, payload, RF, drone, and cloud components interact.
  • Collaborating closely with RF, robotics, and other teams to ensure new capabilities are integrated reliably across the full system.
  • Supporting the productization and deployment of SpectraLoc by improving software maturity, repeatability, reliability, observability, and ease of operation.
  • Contributing to strong software engineering practices, including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, and structured release processes.
Knowledge & Skills:

We are looking for a developer who enjoys working on complex technical products where software interacts closely with hardware, sensors, and real-world operational use cases.

We imagine that you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, robotics, or a similar technical field.
  • Experience from a software development role working on complex technical systems or products.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: C#, Python, C++, .NET, Rust, Go, or Java.
  • Experience with software architecture, or a strong interest in taking on architectural responsibility.
  • Experience with software that interfaces with external systems, hardware, sensors, payloads, APIs, or communication protocols.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and preferably asynchronous, event-driven, or multithreaded software development.
  • Experience with structured software development practices, including testing, code quality, maintainability, version control, and CI/CD.
  • A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently to follow tasks through to completion while staying aligned with the broader team.
  • English is our company language so fluency in English is a must.

It would be highly relevant if you have experience from defense, electronic warfare, RF systems, drones, robotics, aerospace, surveillance, test and measurement, or other mission-critical technology domains. Specifically having been directly or indirectly involved with defense or defense technology through previous employment, projects, customers, research, military experience, or adjacent industries. This is not a strict requirement, but it is a strong advantage.

Our Dynamic Work Environment:

Quadsat is at an exciting stage of our growth journey where you can make a meaningful impact with your work, and directly influence the development of advanced solutions. You will join a diverse team of innovative colleagues who are passionate about working with new technology development. Our work environment is characterised by a high degree of openness, a flat management structure, and a strong sense of community where we work closely together on tasks.

You will be part of a driven engineering team across software, RF, robotics, and product development, with opportunities for professional growth, increased responsibility, and close involvement in real product innovation. We value initiative, collaboration, high-quality engineering, and people who want their work to matter beyond the codebase.
