DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced UAS Pilot and/or Engineer to join our Operations team based at our HQ in Odense. The team is the backbone of all service assignments with customers, internal product tests, UAV maintenance, and much more.
Our product consists of a custom RF pointing payload mounted on a UAV platform, used to test, and measure antenna performance. We additionally have created a software suite that operates alongside our product for use by the operator.
The system currently uses a Quadcopter supplied by Nordic Drone, however we are constantly innovating and upgrading our system, so the opportunity is open for our fleet to expand.
In this role, you can expect to travel the world to our customer sites in all corners of the globe, operating our system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role will predominantly entail flying and operating the system to perform antenna and radar measurements on service assignments globally, as well as testing the performance of Quadsat’s patented technology at our HQ in Odense.
Specifically, you can expect to work on the following:

  • Piloting our product in challenging environments with the need to balance legal, environmental, and technical challenges related to the drone in flight.
  • Planning, execution, and documentation of on-site measurement assignments at our customer sites, with focus on safe, compliant, and efficient UAV operations.
  • Contributing to improvements of Quadsat’s standard operating procedures and quality assurance system.
  • Working with the Drone Operations team on maintenance of our drone fleet and components in the R&D workshop and production to ensure testability accuracy.
  • Proactively engage in troubleshooting of our product to find opportunities for developments and improvements.
  • Contribute to the integration of various UAVs in Quadsat’s fleet of compliant UAV platforms and have the opportunity to engage in investigations of potential new UAVs.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • First and foremost, you are a highly skilled and experienced licensed drone pilot. You are knowledgeable of compliance and regulatory rules regarding UAV operations and are capable of safely operating within these parameters in challenging conditions.
  • While your formal education is not of the utmost importance, we envision you to have some sort of technical background, maybe in electrical, mechanical, electromechanics or robotics either on a technician or engineering level.
  • Experience with drone engineering on component level including connectivity, power efficiency and tuning would be beneficial.
  • Any knowledge or experience with either RF or teaching and training other pilots would be advantageous.
  • You should be eligible for security clearance with Danish defense/NATO.
  • As a person, you are structured and organized but are also comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • English is our company language, so fluency in English both orally and written is a must.

TRAVEL DEMANDS

  • Expected 60-90 days of travel per year.
