Would you like to develop exciting software solutions for international customers and influence the architecture of our frontend applications? Now is the time to act!

Autorola group is a global company specialized in online car auctions and IT solutions for the automotive industry. Our roadmap is full of tasks, and our existing solutions need to be future proofed for a rapidly increasing number of customers. We are looking for an experienced fullstack developer who will help us improve the quality of our current applications and create new exciting solutions working mainly with Angular. Our development department is located within walking distance from the train station in Odense.

Your Role

Our software developers are divided into three product lines:

  • Autorola Solutions: Develops software in the form of flow management products for large fleet owners, including leasing companies, banks, and rental companies. The products are characterized by handling configurable workflows and automated processes across partners and for many simultaneous users.
  • INDICATA: Collects and interprets BIG DATA for optimizing the inventory of used cars and valuing cars. The products are characterized by handling enormous amounts of data.
  • Autorola Marketplace: Provides auction platforms for used cars. Marketplace is characterized by running a large portfolio of apps, focusing on performance and high availability.

You will be part of our Marketplace Development department consisting of eight backend developers, three frontend developers, one designer, three Product Owners (PO), and three Quality Assurance Engineers. The department is divided into three minor teams and you will join the "Marketplace UI Team".

We maintain and develop an auction platform where cars can be bought and sold across countries worldwide, so the range of partners, users, and customers is very broad and with many challenges. Hundreds of cars are auctioned daily worldwide.

We are on a journey where the original frontend is being replaced by a modern web application built in Angular, and you will be a big part of this task. We have several Angular applications and are working to streamline their structures and ensure long-lasting designs. We have a relatively young team and are looking for an experienced colleague who can take responsibility and help us make the right decisions. Your work will partly involve continuously analyzing the architecture of our current and future applications and making recommendations for improvements, while also solving development tasks on par with the other frontend developers. The team includes dedicated backend developers who expose relevant services for the frontend, so in this role, you will also work closely with them and provide input on how current and future DTOs should be designed.

In addition to development and architecture discussions, we expect you to actively participate in:

  • Workshops with Product Manager/Owner, UI designer, and backend developers
  • Technical frontend forum, where the overall technology choices and processes for frontend developers across teams are discussed
  • Daily stand-up, refinement, and planning meetings held within the SAFe framework
  • Social activities in the team

You will develop in Angular and work with NX, Bootstrap, ESLint, and Jest. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you are also familiar with IntelliJ, Bitbucket (Git), and Maven. Our backend is developed in Java and Spring Boot.

As a developer with us, you can design complex solutions, and we work with new technologies, which provides exciting opportunities in your development solutions. In the department, you will also have ample opportunity to spar with your colleagues and our skilled chief developer, who sets the overall technical direction for our applications in collaboration with the CTO.

Qualifications

It is important that you have experience as a full-stack developer and have a good general understanding and interest in IT architecture.

Additionally, we expect you to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a developer, including several years as a full-stack developer.
  • Recent experience with Angular, having worked with it within the last two years.
  • A relevant educational background in software development.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about our diverse applications and complex platforms.
  • Curiosity and a commitment to staying professionally updated, along with a willingness to share your knowledge.
  • Proficiency in both English and Danish, in both written and spoken forms.
  • Decision-making skills, coupled with a collaborative spirit and a desire to be an active team member.
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, tailored to the audience.

It is advantageous if you also have experience with Java and Spring Boot.

About Us and What We Offer

We are a well-established company that maintains a strong entrepreneurial spirit, seamlessly blending it with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

You will join a well-functioning department that includes team members aged 25 to 50, ranging from new hires to highly experienced developers. Our developers are highly professional and eager to share their knowledge, ensuring you receive a thorough introduction to the applications you will be working with.

Our department is organized into smaller teams, allowing you to work closely with the Product Owner and Product Manager, who oversee the roadmap and prioritization. At Autorola, decisions are made swiftly, giving you significant freedom in how you approach and solve your tasks. Additionally, our Group IT handles the operation and monitoring of all applications, so you can focus entirely on development without worrying about operational maintenance.

We offer a 37-hour work week with flexible hours, providing excellent opportunity to balance family life and leisure. Therefore, we ensure a manageable workload that allows you to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
