A position as staff scientist (A-TAP salary level) is available at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark, Odense, from 1st of May 2024.
You will be part of Associate Professor Rasmus Siersbæk’s research group (https://www.sdu.dk/en/forskning/rasmus-siersbaek-group) interested in understanding the transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms controlling breast cancer growth, treatment resistance and metastasis. His group employs a range of genomics and proteomics technologies in combination with multiple pre-clinical breast cancer models and clinical samples to understand the mechanisms of transcriptional regulation that drive cancer progression. The Siersbæk research group is part of the Functional Genomics & Metabolism Research Unit, which is an international and collaborative research environment consisting of nine independent research groups focusing on the mechanisms controlling cell plasticity in metabolism and disease.
We are looking for a highly motivated staff scientist (PhD in molecular biology, biomedicine or related fields), who can independently drive research projects and support the day-to-day management of the research group. This includes engaging in multiple different projects in the lab and supervising students. The position as staff scientist also includes tasks to support the infrastructure of the unit and teaching at the department.
