About the job
The Department of Oncology at Odense University Hospital (OUH) and the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark offer a 5-year position as a data scientics and software developer in the recently funded DESIRE project. The goal of the DESIRE project is to develop national data infrastructure, open source sharing and high-tech tools to support research in radiotherapy.
Depending on your skills and interests, you will be working with:
- Development and implementation of AI
- Data harvesting methods
- FAIR data
- Federated learning methods
- User interface development
- API development
- Your next great idea!
Your qualifications
As you will be working close with both colleagues and users, we are looking for someone with great collaboration skills.
Furthermore, we expect that you:
- hold a degree in programming, physics, engineering, data science or related fields.
- have knowledge of some of the following fields: database structure, image processing, artificial intelligence, creation of user-friendly WEB pages, C-sharp, Matlab, Python.
- are proficient in English – both written and verbal
Meet the team
As our new data scientist, your will join our multidisciplinary team of medical physicists, computer scientists, medical doctors, PhD students and professors at OUH. Furthermore, you will be a part of a small national team of 5- 10 data-scientitst and developers working on the DESIRE project. In both groups, social activities and the flexibility to design a working day that matches our personal preferences are considered essential to an enjoyable worklife. We enjoy a flat organizational hierarch, and the right to make mistakes and learn from them. In the end we are all just nerds that want to make a difference.
