The excavation of earth is traditionally supported by surveyors who measure the landscape. With Unicontrol we revolutionize this industry and ensure exact measurement of what is excavated. In the future we will develop similar solutions for other machine types of contracting machinery.
About the job
We are expanding our team and are recruiting an experienced software developer for our site in Odense, who has a great desire to use acquired professional competencies to strengthen our software development team within R&D. Our ambition is to automate hydraulic control of earthmoving machines and you will be a part of the team who focus on sensor integration, control loop design and automation.
As robotic software developer, you will have a key role in developing our unique 3D machine control solutions for the earthmoving industry. You will develop 3D software for our systems/components, that help the contracting industry controlling their machinery accurately and according to the architecture specified by the architect.
We are in close dialog with our customers to ensure our design is easy to use and fit their needs. We do iterative and agile development with continues test and feedback from our customers and partners, and you will have a key role in the development process.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Create design for development of sensor integration, control loop and automation
- Program software in C++ and Unity 3D
- Implement software on devices, sensors etc.
- Test software accuracy and document results
- Work with automated test systems
- Co-operate with colleagues on the development of new systems
- Use agile development tools like Git/Jira/Bitbucket
Your profile
You are an experienced C++ software engineer with a passion for new technology and a drive to solve complex challenges. Ideally, you already have several years of experience as a software engineer within software, robotics, machine control or similar.
You have the drive to learn quickly and can push the things forward by yourself. You will be faced with a large variety of development tasks and engage with the customers. Visits to construction sites with huge contracting machines can be a part of the job, and make you get a first-hand impression of the context we are working in.
Key points on your profile:
- University degree within SW engineering, Computer Science or Robotics
- 3 years of commercial experience in C++
- Experience with Unity 3D or other game engines is a plus
- Knowledge about IMU sensors and forward kinematics is a plus
- Strong math skills or surveying background is a plus
- Strong Linux skills is a plus
- Hardware integrations experience is a plus
- Proficient in English
